Valerie I. Kirkendall

Valerie joined the firm in 2009. Val was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, raised in Texas and moved to Oregon in 1973. She graduated from Portland State University with a degree in Social Work and Psychology with honors. She attended law school at Northwestern School of Law, Lewis and Clark College. While in law school she worked for Legal Aid Services of Oregon and the Low-income Taxpayer Clinic at Lewis and Clark Law School. Valerie also received her Certificate in Federal Tax Law. She was the recipient of the Pro-bona Honors Program. Valerie is Of Counsel with the firm of Gunn Cain & Kinney LLP. She represents clients in the practice areas of Estate Planning, Probate, Trust Administration, Guardianship and Conservatorship. Valerie enjoys horseback riding, camping and cooking. She is married to Matt and they have 2 children.
